Job requirements:

• Languages: English
• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
• Security and Safety: Criminal record check
• Transportation/Travel Information: Travel expenses paid by employer, Public transportation is available
• Work Location Information: Work in employer’s/client’s home
• Work Site Environment: Non-smoking, Scent free
• Personal Suitability: Initiative, Organized, Judgement, Flexibility, Reliability, Team player, Effective interpersonal skills, Client focus, Excellent oral communication

Additional Skills:

1. Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents,
2. Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties,
3. Shop for food and household supplies, T
4. ravel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties

Children’s Ages: School age (6 – 12 years)

Specific Skills:

– Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents,

– Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home,

– Take children to and from school and to appointments,

– Tend to emotional well-being of children,

– Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development,

– Organize activities such as games and outings for children,

– Prepare and serve nutritious meals, Supervise and care for children,

– Help children with homework

Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Work Setting: Employer’s home, Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. Note: This is NOT a condition of employment
